Q1Will it break spaces inside strings?
No. That is the classic bug in minifiers: a global whitespace replace turns content: "a b" into "a b". This tool scans character by character and leaves anything inside quotes or url() untouched.
Q2How much smaller will it get?
Usually 20–40%, more if the file is hand-written with deep indentation. Note that with gzip enabled on the server the difference shrinks, because gzip already compresses repeated whitespace well.
Q3Does it support SCSS or Less?
No. Nested rules, variables and // comments are not valid CSS and will fail to parse. Compile to CSS first.
